Thanks 4ajka from Russia very much! It is really a nice postcard, with nice stamps! The picture is from Vladivostok(海參崴), a city not far away from China and North Korea. The postcard shows Basargin Lighthouse at the Ussuri Bay. The lighthouse is one of the symbols of this city. The first lighthouse at that place was built in 1937, and in 1958 it was replaced by a newer stone structure.

Here comes three stamps. The first one, with red and yellow color, was released in 2006. The stamp is about the 250th Anniversary of entry of Altai to Russia. Altai is now a federal subject of Russia.

The next one, which was released in 2008, is from a series called Decorative-Aplied Arts of Dagestan. Dagestan (達吉斯坦) is federal subject of Russia.

The last stamp was released in 2009, about the astronomy of Europe.

This postcard is from the State of Oregon (俄勒岡州) from USA. Since it is facing the Pacific Ocean, it is not that difficult to find beaches along the coastal line of the state.

Great that there are five stamps on the postcard! The first one, the green one, features Joe DiMaggio, who is a famous baseball player at US. He even holds some records that nobody breaks until now. The stamp was released in 2012, from a series called “Major League Baseball All-Stars”.

The next stamp is also from 2012, a stamp released to show some distinguished americans. This time they pick José Ferrer, who is a famous actor.

The other three stamps are having similar design. I guess they are all definitive stamps. The first one, the green one, was released in 2003. And it features an american clock.

This definitive stamp—a reissue of the 2003 stamp—features an artistic rendering of the dial, or face, of a banjo clock. Constructed of brass and steel, the banjo clock depicted on the stamp has a painted iron dial and a mahogany case crowned by a brass eagle. This elegant timepiece was made circa 1805 by Simon Willard (1753-1848) of Roxbury, Massachusetts. American Clock is the second stamp in the new American Design series.

The second one shows an American Toleware. And the stamp was released in 2002.

The 5–cent definitive American Toleware stamp features artist Lou Nolan’s painted detail of a black toleware coffeepot decorated with red flowers; purple forget–me–nots; and yellow, green and orange leaves, from the Winterthur Museum in Delaware. Curators at Winterthur believe that it was manufactured in Philadelphia between 1850 and 1875. Derry Noyes of Washington, DC, was the designer and art director for this stamp.

The last one was released in 2007. It shows a Silver Coffeepot.

The sixth stamp in the American Design series—the 3-cent Silver Coffeepot definitive—features an artist’s simplified rendering of a silver coffeepot, circa 1786, belonging to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The coffeepot was made by prominent Philadelphia silversmiths Joseph Richardson, Jr. (1752-1831) and Nathaniel Richardson (1754-1827).

Here is a postcard from Singapore. It shows the aerial view of the Esplanade and Marina Bay. The most famous building must be The Esplanade Theatres on the Bay (濱海藝術中心) . It contains a Concert Hall which seats about 1,600 and a Theatre with a capacity of about 2,000 for the performing arts. The building was designed from 1995. And the building looks like a durian or a pair of eyes from fly. Personally I quite like the design of such building as it could reflect the local atmosphere.

the first stamp is about Trolley Bus. Trolley bus was part of the public transport in Singapore. It started its operation in 1926 and closed in 1962. Seems now the services are replaced by motor buses. And the stamp was released in 1997, from a series showing old transportation in Singapore.

The second stamp is released in 2007. It shows a Crimson Sunbird 黃腰太陽鳥. They usually live in tropical southern Asia. And the bird is the national bird of Singapore.

The third stamp shows a Moorish idol 鐮魚. They usually live at tropical areas. And the stamp was released in 2001.

A postcard from Japan! It takes 4 days to travel to Hong Kong. The postcard shows a scene from a reservoir (I guess is Kanoko Dam) in Hokkaido in Japan. And the reservoir is surrounded by many natural forests.

And the right stamp is a Japanese distinctive stamp, featuring an eastern honey bee with a pink flower. And the stamp on the left is Clematis 鐵線蓮. And it is from the 2013 seasonal (summer) flower series.

A postcard from Yilan (宜蘭), Taiwan! It takes 3 days to travel to Hong Kong. The postcard shows the night view of the art center 國立傳統藝術中心. 傳藝 is the short form of the center. And some bloggers said that it is quite rare that the museum opens at night, and will only when there are big events like 傳藝 66 夜 in this summer.

A postcard from Moscow, Russia! It takes 21 days to travel to Hong Kong. It is really a nice postcard, showing different types of Russian mushrooms and their English names. The sender says her family loves picking up mushrooms. I guess is for cooking? That’s really interesting! After google, seems mushroom plays an important part in Russian diet. Therefore mushroom hunting is a famous activity there, involving family members to share the joy in the nature.

On the back are two stunning stamps! The one released in 2012 shows a killer whale(殺人鯨). It is from a series “The Marine Life”. The second one, released in 2011, is from a series called “Pedestrian Bridges”. This one shows a bridge over Vezelka(a river name)in Belgorod(a city name I guess?). The bridge was built in 2002.
