東涌，給你的感覺，或許只是一個十分遠，充滿住宅高樓，或是到購物商場買平貨的好去處。但其實在這個新市鎮，亦會找到拍攝晚霞日落的好去處。偶然來到逸東旁的馬灣涌，看到這兒仍保留著漁村風味：以岸邊的棚屋與漁村小艇作為前景，襯托著後方的晚霞，別有一番風味；略覺得這兒離市中心遠？東涌游泳池對開的海濱走廊或是另外一個欣賞日落的好去處。偶然更可以見到如鹹蛋黃的夕陽，於通往昂平的纜車車箱後方徐徐降下；略覺得這兒景觀不夠開揚？則可途經跨河大橋，來到機場島東南方的觀景山，欣賞陪襯著下方各個機場大鼓－燃料儲存庫的魔幻時刻。日落的光線，照耀著各個儲存庫，加上各個儲存庫圓頂的結構，叫構圖來得分外有趣味。有機會在這更可見到各個大鼓上亮起一點點的燈光。這些迷人日落晚霞的時刻，也看來，東涌，也不是只是一個普普通通的新市鎮吧。
最近看到報紙上關於擴建東涌新市鎮的報導。看看地圖，當中東涌灣，馬灣涌一帶的海面也被劃成擴展區。或許不久將來，這個富特色的小漁村又會消失於香港的了。所以看來，想為東涌灣，馬灣涌等地拍下美麗動人一刻的照片的朋友，要盡快了。

From Tung Chung, a residental new town near the Hong Kong International Airport. In people’s mind, maybe this area is just a district with full of buildings and blocks. But actually when you visit this city closely, you could discover some interesting spots here. Ma Wan Chung, which is an old village, is one of the example. Here, some flats were still built in the silt house style, which cannot be commonly seen in
Hong Kong. There are also great spots to take photos of magic hour and sunset here. There is a small hill called Scenic Hill on the airport island. Here,you could see sunset and magic hour with the fuel drums, which is surely a new experience towards the airport.
