A postcard from the Netherlands! The stamp was released in 2014, from a series called “Dutch Icons”. The stamps were developed by graphic designer Joachim Baan and concept developer Fleur Dérogée. They portrayed the icons as though made with a 3D printer. “We depicted the images as iconically as possible, concentrating purely on form and leaving out all colour and frills. The use of blue-coloured areas created a kind of display case to embed the objects in which the icons are displayed, like in a museum.”

Here is a very nice postcard from the Netherlands, showing a relaxing scene in the Netherlands, with animals living there peacefully and with harmony. Nijkerk is a small town in the middle part of the country.
Here comes the stamps. The middle one was released in 2008, from the series about environmental protection. The word in the sun is “zonnecollector”, meaning the Solar thermal collector. “denk groen doe groen”, i guess is the slogan, with similar meaning of think green and participate in environmental protection activities. The stamp on the right hand side was released in 2011, from a series featuring children. There are 6 stamps from the same series. And a picture of house would be formed when you put the stamps in right order.

A postcard from the Netherlands, featuring symbols of this country – tulips and hyacinth. Here comes the stamps. The first stamp was released in 1990, from a series called “summer”. I guess it is one of the scene how they enjoy their lives in summer. The second stamp was released in 1987, from a seres called “”Red Cross”. The third and the fourth stamp were both released in 1989. The first one is from a series called “Child Care”, I guess it is a heart drawn in a house. The second one is a Europa stamp. The theme of that year is “Children’s game”. There are two stamps from the Netherlands. The two stamps show a small scientific game – 傳聲筒, that is using a rope linking two paper cups. And voice could be transmitted through this mean.

A postcard from the Netherlands showing a sea of yellow tulips! Tulip is the national flower of the Netherlands. Tulip has a great association with tulip. According to wikipedia, this country produces as many as 3 billion bulbs annually. And the official year that tulip introduced to this country is 1594.
The stamp about windmill has been introduced before. And the other stamp was released in 2012, from the series called “Netherlands in the Atlas “. There are ten stamps from the series. And a whole picture of the Netherlands’ map would be seen if we place all stamps together. The words from next to the stamps briefly says:
since the 80’s , planning is a constant theme in the atlas, with pen subdivided as urban networks, spatial structure as main parts, also the Green Heart (The Groene Hart – English: Green Heart is a relatively thinly populated area in the Dutch Randstad. ) is mapped
The air mail sticker is so beautiful! Thanks Barbara from the Netherlands!
