A postcard showing Kakapo(owl parrot), a kind of bird that could be found in New Zealand only. This kind of bird is flightless, nocturnal. It is the world’s only flightless parrot, the heaviest parrot, nocturnal, herbivorous. Some research says that this kind of bird is possibly the world’s longest living bird. The Kakapo is critically endangered, in 2012, there were only 126 known individuals.
The first stamp shows the Mitre Peak. It is the ironic peak on the South Island of New Zealand. The peak is named due to its shape, after the mitre headwear of Catholic bishops. The stamp is released in 2010.
The second stamp is from Local Motifs series in 2011. This stamp shows Trout Fishing (鱒魚) there.

This is a postcard from New York. It was sent by a group of people as they were having a meet-up in New York on the last day of August! Really a great card! The card shows the Times Square, a famous landmark in New York.
Here comes three stamps from the postcard. The first one, with the glag of USA appearing on the stamp, is from the series “A Flag for All Seasons”. Each of the stamp from the series has the American flag viewed from below, flying from a pole at full staff against a background of trees that evoke one of the four seasons of the year. And the one received shows the Autumn Version. The stamp is released in 2013.
The second stamp is about Chinese New Year, with a bundle of firecrackers colored red for luck, and a Chinese Calligraphy and a logo of Snake at the left of the stamp.
The Third stamp is from 2011, showing George Washington. George Washington was the first President of the United States. He played an important role in the independent of the US.
